Start your day well

                                               

Every morning, we need to find a way to start our day right, there are certain things I know I don't have to do the first thing in the morning, it is important to take control of my day before the day gets control of me. I stay away from my phone because I don't want to find myself scrolling on social media and losing focus on what matters to me. There are many distractions in the world, and we need to be aware of them and do our best every day to focus on what matters. 

I have noticed that I am more focused in the morning and if I want to do activities that requires focus, I need to do them during this time. I try my best to always use this time to my advantage. I start my day by thanking God for another day, then I do stretch like exercises for about 20 minutes, make a cup of coffee and I think coffee goes well with a good book. Every time I follow this routine, I know it's going to be a good day, doing these 3 to 4 times a week makes me feel good about myself. 

Benefits of starting the day right

  1. Productivity increases- When we are clear with what we should do in the morning, we will have more energy to do what needs to be done for the day, without a routine, we can find ourselves all over the place and end up not completing the most important tasks, and at the end of the day, we will feel frustrated with ourselves. 
  2.  More focused- A morning routine helps us to reduce the distractions and focus our energy on what we want to achieve at the end of the day. I believe it also helps us to build healthy habits, these habits will help us to be in control of our mornings.     
  3. Sense of calm- When we take control of our mornings, we will not feel stressed because we already know what we need to do, we are prepared, and we take control of our time.
       
It is important to stick to our morning routine and it does not have to be perfect, we just need to keep showing up and not give up on ourselves.
